| 3. Application
- here's what we do |
| Brush old concrete |
| Cracks repaired & the use of natural concrete
colour grout |
| We grind out cracks to a depth of 5-10 mm in preparation
to assist in a better joint repair. |
| Using a mould remover the MDT Roof Restorations
team will remove grease, oil and grinding dust from any cracks. |
| The team then uses a water blaster to clean concrete
and remove all residue |
| If the driveway/path needs repairing due to cracking,
the MDT Roof Restorations Team will use a special filler that comes
in a natural concrete colour. |
| After repairs are dry a coat of primer is applied
by roller. |
| MDT Roof Restorations then apply a base coat by
squeegee evenly to the entire surface of the concrete. |
| Overnight drying time or longer is recommended
if cold weather or when concrete is in shady areas, before applying
the stencil. |
| The stencil design of your choice is then applied
(see the Our Products page for your choice of design finishes and
colours). |
| MDT Roof Restorations will then apply one fine
coat of top coat over the stencil. |
| After allowing 2 hours to dry MDT Roof Restorations
will then apply the second coat of top coat. |
| Finally the MDT Roof Restorations team will then
apply the clear sealer top coat. |
| MDT Roof Restorations recommends that you allow
at least 3 days for normal concrete, (warm weather) or longer (cold
weather) before driving a vehicle onto driveway/path and 5 days for
caravans, truck or boats |
